Keep your employees, family and mission team healthy while traveling
Most travelers are either misinformed or unaware of the health risks associated with international travel.
Be sure you, your family or your employees are protected with the proper vaccinations before their travel
abroad. Below is a menu of vaccinations Care Dynamix offers and for which areas each is recommended or
required:
• Typhoid Fever (or Typhim Vi) - For travelers to high risk areas (small cities, villages, and/or rural
areas), including short-term travelers and non-native Americans returning to their countries of origin.
• Rabies - For everyone where rabies is present, including the United States.
• Yellow Fever - REQUIRED for travel to countries/areas where yellow fever is endemic (parts of
South America and Africa), and recommended for many other areas of international travel.
• Japanese Encephalitis - Recommended for those spending 30 or more days in endemis or epidemic
areas (especially rural) -OR- for travelers spending less than 30 days if engaging in extensive outdoor
activities in rural areas.
• Meningococcal Disease - REQUIRED for travel to Mecca, Saudi Arabia during the annual Hajj.
Recommended for trips to countries having endemic and/or epidemic meningococcal disease and
travelers to the “meningitis belt” of Africa, especially during dry season.
• Polio - For trips to countries where polio is endemic or epidemic.
• Pertussis - For trips to countries where pertussis vaccination rates are low.
Mission teams are especially at risk and should be vaccinated before travel. Most teams travel to rural and
under-developed areas and should be vaccinated against the local diseases before traveling to its
destination.
Note that some vaccines require multiple doses before you leave, so be informed before you go!
